Tour highlights.
We depart from the restaurant Campary, at the central park of Vilcabamba. The route passes through the barrios of Los Huilcos and Cubalibre, and gently ascends to the barrio of Izhcayluma. From here, the footpath continues through the area of Mollepamba and on to San José, where there are beautiful views of the valley below.
The route heads downward to cross the river Chamba (boots recommended) and arrive at the Yamburara chapel. On the return to Yamburara Bajo we enjoy unique towering earth formations and lovely landscapes. At this point, there is a choice to return to Vilcabamba or continue with the alternative route.
