Take into account these tips to have a better experience…
Before the excursion day
- Whichever route you take up the mountain, be sure to look out for markers which will show you the way down – it is easy to take a wrong path, and some are not suitable for inexperienced walkers, or those without proper climbing gear.
- Decide on the purpose of your excursion so you bring the right support equipment: camera, journal, etc.
- Plan your trail before you begin
- Get a map of the zone you plan to visit
- Prepare for unexpected issues, for example, rain, lost trail, accidents and travel problems
- Bring the appropriate equipment. Ask your guide before the tour day
During the excursion day
- Have fun
- Take all the time to enjoy what most impress you before you move to a next spot
- Apply insect repellent lotion if you are sensitive to insect bites
After the excursion day
- Prepare a presentation with your best memories. Use software like Windows Movie Maker, IPhoto, etc.
- Share your presentation with friends, relatives, etc.
- Add reviews to travel sites so others know what to expect, what to avoid, etc. E.g. You can share some fatal mistakes that might lead to bad experiences. You will get more value out of your tour if you know you can help others make better decisions so they enjoy the most of their experience.
