Tour highlights.
( “Trucha” means “trout” )
Depart from Restaurant Campary, at the foot of Vilcabamba’s central square. We cross the main street and climb to the irrigation canal. From there until we arrive at Cucanama Alto, the view is panoramic. We then cross the Vilcabamba River and follow the road to Chaupi, arrive at Madre Tierra, and then follow the main road up to the village of San Pedro de Vilcabamba, and onward to Sacapo.
From Sacapo, we ascend along the Uchima River and continue on the trail to Las Truchas. There, we’ll lunch and enjoy the river.
We’ll return to Madre Tierra along the same route, and then take the main road directly back to central Vilcabamba.
